Aritech® activated carbon RVC Foam is a lightweight, flexible, flat-sheet, broadband absorber based on a reticulated (open-cell) polyurethane foam material impregnated with carbon black dispersions with controlled conductivity. Automated impregnation methods are used in order to obtain a gradient loading of the absorber.
Activated carbon foam, also known as an activated carbon sponge, is a kind of air filter media. The activated carbon foam is constructed from polyurethane sponge and coconut shell or coal activated carbon powder.
Unique Features
- Different pore sizes. We can supply activated carbon foam with different pore sizes to suit different applications.
- High quality activated carbon material. The coconut or coal activated carbon powder has high filtering efficiency and it adheres to the sponge firmly.
- High carbon content. The high carbon content can ensure high filtering efficiency, high absorption efficiency, and high purification efficiency.
- Perfect package. The activated carbon foam is commonly packed in cartons and then wooden pallets. It can protect the activated carbon foam from moisture.
APPLICATIONS
- The lining of the antenna shrouds for low side-lobe reflector antennas.
- Decoupling of adjacent antennas and array elements.
- Camouflaging and interference suppression applications.
- Masking of reflecting structures i.e. masts in anechoic chambers.
