How we Make it

The PPL-lined hydrothermal autoclave is manufactured by mainly two components; Polyparaphenol (PPL inner vessel) and stainless steel (SS316) outer shell. The PPL inner liner is resistant to corrosion, highly acidic, and alkaline solutions. Those who need better temperature stability, prefer this reactor over a Teflon-lined autoclave. We produced this autoclave in 25ml, 50ml, 100ml, 150ml, 200ml, 250ml and 500ml capacity.

Two significant properties in the PPL vessel camber distinguish with Teflon vessel, which is temperature and color. The PPL-lined reactor has a higher temperature resistance and is black in color. It is also named a high-temperature reactor. The PPL vessel hydrothermal autoclave is more costly as compared to the Teflon vessel autoclave. The reactor setup’s maximum operating temperature is 280 °C, and the safe temperature is 260 °C for the continuous reaction. The maximum design pressure is 3Mpa. It disintegrates the refractories and complex material quickly. The PPL autoclave should heat in the oven, maintaining the cooling and heating rate at 5 °C/ min.

The PPL-lined hydrothermal autoclave mainly developed in a treaded type arrangement, making it more suitable for smaller volumes. The liner is a closed container with an airtight lid, which avoids the spillage of solution at high pressure. The outer SS body contains two caps; one is primary, and another is secondary. The secondary cap is a smaller one, which is extremely important to press the liner into the outer shell.

Development PPL Lined Hydrothermal Autoclave

RVC Foam developed and supply two types of sealing for the tightening of a reactor vessel. The screw-type sealing has been given to the reactor with capacity 10ml, 25ml, 50ml, 100ml, 150ml, 200ml, 250ml, 300ml, 400ml, and 500ml, while the flange type sealing will be in a 1000ml, 1500ml, and 2000ml autoclave. We used the double-coated Teflon vessel for better performance. The autoclave has been designed to use for external heating where the reactor can be heated in the oven, furnace, or self-heating. The ideal heating and cooling temperature rate to get better results will be 5 0C.

The Teflon-lined hydrothermal synthesis autoclave is corrosive resistant. It is also acidic and alkaline resistant hence used for highly alkaline and acidic solutions. The autoclave for hydrothermal synthesis is mostly used for crystallization processes and nanoparticles. Since it is operating at a very high temperature and high pressure, hence it is also called as the hydrothermal bomb. Hydrothermal laboratory reactor available with a pressure gauge to maintain appropriate pressure condition required for the chemical reaction. It also comes with features of self-heating with all heating arrangements.

PPL Lined Hydrothermal Autoclave Details and Specification

The Hydrothermal Autoclave Reactor is used to carry hydrothermal reactions at high pressure and high temperature. Hydrothermal synthesis reactor generally comes in two varieties; the first is Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or Teflon lined hydrothermal autoclave reactors and the second is PPL lined autoclave. Hydrothermal reactor mainly made up of two parts; outer high-quality stainless-steel jacket and inner Teflon liner or Teflon chamber. In the Teflon-lined autoclave, the reaction is carried out at maximum 240-degree Celsius (428 Fahrenheit), while the safe temperature is 200-degree Celsius (392 Fahrenheit). PPL lined reactor used for the reaction operates at a higher temperature, where the safe temperature will be 260-degree Celsius (500 Fahrenheit) and the maximum operating temperature is 280-degree Celsius (536 Fahrenheit). This product is extensively used in the scientific laboratory, research and development labs, institutional organizations, quality analysis section in industries, etc.
